"Do you know what it means to miss New Orleans?" My two sisters and I do ... lived there during the late 60s and all through the 70s. As young adults, we found love, romance, new careers, and life-long friends. And through it all, we definitely "Laissez Les Bon Temps Rouller." Now it breaks my heart to see what's happened to that memorable city and the entire Gulf Coast.

Like thousands of others, I want to help in any way I can. The town of Long Beach, Miss., caught my interest, of course, because we share the same name. Could we, as the Long Beach Peninsula, become a "sister city" of sorts to the people of Long Beach, Miss. and direct some sort of efforts to them?

Let's roll. Call me at 642-8633.
