This letter is from the educational staff of the Ocean Beach School District to encourage you to vote "yes" for the maintenance and operations levy and the technology levy. Let's send a powerful message to our children about the importance of education in their lives.

The upcoming maintenance and operations levy is not new. It replaces the existing levy and will enable the district to continue to provide quality programs and activities. Some of the things the levy provides for include: reduced class size, all extra curricular activities, full day kindergarten, transportation, classroom supplies and books, maintenance, field trips, salaries not part of the state appropriation and special education beyond the state allocation.

The technology levy will allow the district to continue to prepare our students for the technological job market of the present and future. A resounding "yes" vote would indicate your willingness to afford them a quality education so desperately needed in our world today. Our children face an ever-changing and uncertain world. In order to prepare them for success in the future, we need to provide them with the best education possible. The education of a child is not just expenditure, but more importantly, an investment in our future.

The staff in the Ocean Beach School District is committed to Peninsula students and strives to help them reach their full potential. Please help us do the best job we can by voting "Yes" on both levies. Thank you!
