Ralph Moore’s article last week is a good example of how he, a former councilmember, and Jerry Phillips have always attacked anyone who questions or otherwise shines a light on their conduct as elected officials.

The only accomplishments these two have made in the last eight years is to keep city money flowing to special interests without oversight or recusal, and then excessively raising water and sewer rates at the same time.

Shame on Ralph Moore for ignoring Mark Perez’s tireless efforts to protect the city.

Long Beach Councilmember candidate Tom Werner, with his skills in handling multi-million dollar budgets, has promised to find savings in our city budget without harming city employees or the quality of services we now enjoy. As a retiree, he is motivated to finding new sources of revenue without dinging residents.
