This is on the subject of Darth Vader's bad rap. (I understand that is his nickname.)

How tall is tall? How dark is dark? I think it is time for the other side of this issue, about the officer of the Washington State Patrol and his duties.

I don't know anyone who doesn't want to be appreciated for doing their job well. Driving on the Peninsula everyday I see a lot of out of town cars pulled over as well as local cars.

It seems like they are picking on the locals because they are who we talk to. We are not talking to the tourists. The rules are the rules, no matter who we are.

I don't know how tall you are, but I can see if the seatbelts are on in a semi-truck. Truck drivers follow the rules as we all should. And if the windows are too dark to see in, then that is also a reason to be pulled over.

I drive for a living and see things all day every day that are not right. The officers can't be everywhere at the same time. As taxpayers, we pay their salary to do the job, and then we complain when they do it.

Do you people want cheese with the whining or milk and cookies with your ticket?

I have been stopped at different times in all my years driving (approximately 45). I didn't like it, but I was doing what they said I was.

I am not in law enforcement and never have been, but I believe that the law is for everyone and we should all follow them. I have not met this officer and hope not to meet him anytime soon.
