The Santa letters are wonderful as usual, thank you. I appreciate that you make room for them. Many will be saved for years to come by the children.

The Observer is a fine local paper. I hope you are doing well financially in these hard times. If you have a moment, perhaps you could answer about if your paper is healthy. One of the reasons I've heard regarding waning circulation is that in families with two working adults no one has time for daily papers anymore. I know less advertising is one of the most important issues. My husband often checks out articles on the computer and that also seems to be a factor.

Our local daily paper, the Sun (used to be the Kitsap Sun/Bremerton Sun) has been downsizing over the last few years. It went from four to two sections this past month, really struggling. I would miss it so much, but realize the younger generations don't have the same interest.

I grew up at the beach reading the Observer and have been getting the your paper here in Tracyton for the last 10 years or more. It is fun to hear all the news and keep up with issues and old friends. My father and brother and nephew have been firefighters in Long Beach as well as city workers, etc. You had a wonderful article about them (the Glassons) not long ago.

Keep up the great work!
