Dr. Kim Smith's recent seminar held in Long Beach offered much more than the racy title indicated.

His program embraced those emotions that we judge unworthy in us - grief, anger, fear and shame. His system centered on those unworthy emotions that prevent us from realizing our capacity to love ourselves and others. Through Aikido, video and group interaction, we learned to identify those emotions and to accept these feelings. We learned that the conscious and subconscious mind is for problem-solving and repetition skills and does not possess any feelings. Feelings and emotion come from our body which is connected to our spirit.

Dr. Smith shared his intimate personal journey spanning his life from childhood, to medical school, the transcendental movement in India, to self improvement seminars, meditation and more - all on a path to wholeness; both fascinating and revealing.

In the end the seminar was about health, because our level of health is the result of our capacity to understand ourselves and love.
