In these uncertain economic times, an investment in your library is a good way of saving money - even Yahoo named it one of the sure fire ways of saving. Consider: Use the library computer, save a minimum of $40 a month, $480 a year.

Check out books instead of buying them. If you buy two paperbacks a month you'll realize $14 savings a month or $168 a year. Check out movies - as many as you want, free. Even Netflix is $1 per movie. One movie a week is $52 a year. Try books on tape for your commute. They cost around $40-plus to buy - two a month? Save another $960 per year! You also have access to databases that you would have to pay for on your own.

Like Time magazine? Read the new issues at the library, save the paper and the subscription money. Read your favorite newspapers online or at the library. You will help your pocketbook and the environment at the same time!

We are fortunate in such a small community to have such an extensive library system available to us. It is one of the best bargains around!

Vote yes for the library!
