We are grateful beyond words for the community's support of last Thursday's music and art evening at the Bay Avenue Gallery. Thanks to the talented singers of all ages who gave their time to appear at the gallery, and thanks to dozens of local citizens who came to listen and look and enjoy each other in this wonderful space. As lovers of this Peninsula's unique ways of celebrating the arts and friendship, we promise to be back with another soiree as soon as we can.

Thank you to everyone who made this year's 2nd Annual Peninsula Clay Artists Show and Sale such a success. We would like to express our thanks to Donna and Truman Rew for providing such a wonderful location to have the gallery of art, demonstration room, and courtyard for "fire and smoke" Raku kilns. We couldn't have managed throughout the week without our special volunteers, Lestia Price and Myrna Kay Thompson. Thanks to the Bank of Pacific, Taft Plumbing, Box K, and Raymond Federal Credit Union for spreading the word on their reader boards. We appreciate KMUN and the Chinook Observer for special coverage of our artists and our event. Our artists: Karen Brownlee, David Campiche, Rod Maxwell-Muir, Danni Pederson, Renee O'Connor, Jean O'Neil, Sue Raymond, and Jan Richardson express a feeling of gratitude with everyone's well wishes and praises of the exhibition and sale held at the Artisian in Ilwaco on Aug. 12 to Aug. 14 and hope to see you again next year.
