It all starts with the first one.

This letter is in response to Susie Goldsmith’s letter in last week’s paper.

Maybe you should be the one to step up to the plate and buy a box of garbage bags. Get off your hindquarters and go out and pick up a few bags on your own.

From your letter, you are the owner of a bed and breakfast. I bet you were in line complaining to the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife when there was no clam season. No clam season, no tourists to stay at your bed and breakfast. I bet you got a shot in the arm from the government for the businesses that were shut down from covid-19.

So don’t complain about people who come and play a little on July 4. They buy beer, gas, groceries and chips, the list goes on.

Do your part and don’t complain. Thank you.
