OCEAN PARK — Jackie Holland and Cliff Pedersen on behalf of Peninsula Moose Lodge #236 presented Mark McClain, president of Pacific County Guns and Hoses, with donations totally more than $1,100, raised to support the non-profit organization.

Pacific County Guns and Hoses hosts an annual charity basketball game pitting fire services against law enforcement officers to raise money for local graduating high school students seeking college degrees and careers in these fields.

The funds were raised during the 14th annual Peninsula Moose Lodge’s car show.

“We could not be more thankful for Jerry Phillips and the Moose Lodge for their efforts supporting the children of our community who seek a career protecting us,” said McClain, who went on to explain that March 14, 2020 is the next family-friendly event and he welcomed the community to join in the fun.

McClain also expressed thanks to the event’s sponsors: Colburn Timber, Raymond Elks Lodge #1292, South Bend Pharmacy, Teen Advocacy Coalition, Valley View Health Center, 105.7 The Jet, Chen’s Restaurant & Motel, Dennis Company Ace, First Interstate Bank, and Timber Grounds who all make this event possible.
