People need to take responsibility for their animals! My dog and I go for a daily walk in the forest, off of 189th in Ocean Park. Once again I encountered two dogs running loose with no people around. I love dogs, but they don't belong running loose, unmonitored.

This could cause safety issues for both pets and owners! Pet owners should have enough common-sense to supervise their animals, and shouldn't have to be told to do so! Because we live in the area that we do, several people are armed. It would only take one nervous Nellie to mistake a dog for a coyote, and for defensive reasons, shoot and kill a dog. Besides, not all people like dogs, and a dog approaching someone unfamiliar could also cause defensive injuries. This is why we have the laws that we do. It is your responsibility to obey these laws !
