Thank you to those who generously gave to make our Salad Luncheon a success. A special note of gratitude to the young people who stepped in to help and Tom Hall of Davis Creek Nursery for the tomato plants.

The family of Leonard Vaughn would like to express our heartfelt appreciation for the outpouring of kindness from our friends, family and neighbors following the passing of our husband and father. He would have been very humbled by your kind words and memories of his life. Your love and support means more to us than words can express.

The Beach Barons Car Club would like to take this opportunity to thank all the children and parents that attended our Annual Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, April 15. Even with the rainy morning, the Easter Egg Hunt was a huge success. The sky stopped leaking long enough for those excited, happy little faces to come gather up those eggs, get a free plush toy, cookie, juice, crayons, coloring pages, get their little faces painted, have free raffles and try to win a huge container of jelly beans. Seeing the anticipation and smiling faces of our children, warms our hearts. We had over 200 excited, happy and extremely polite children attend this event again this year. It was so great to meet and greet the kids and parents as they entered the clubhouse for their treats and gifts. They are exhausted but very happy. Without the participants of a few local merchants, we would not be able to scatter 3,000 eggs or provide as many free items for our children as we do.
So, we want to take the opportunity to thank Jack’s Country Store for donating all the Capri Sun, Cottage Bakery for providing an assortment of cookies at a discount, Okie’s Thriftway for donating the frosted cookies and Scooper’s for donating 3,000 pieces of salt water taffy that we added to the Easter eggs. The raffle prizes were donated by one of our members in the memory of his mom, Winona Nelson and Miss Taylor of “Party Art for Kids” for the face painting. Without their generosity, we could not offer so much for our kids enjoyment and the Easter Egg Hunt is one way of showing how much we care. This event takes a few months to prepare and we want to thank the volunteers that came to help us during the event, as well as, stuffing those Easter eggs and bag up all those cookies. We appreciate you and we know the kids appreciate you too! Again, thank you all and we will see you next year and remember, it is always the Saturday before Easter Sunday for kids ages crawlers to 10 years old.
