Kelso, WA – NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Cowlitz-Wahkiakum Council of Governments (CWCOG), as the Southwest Washington Regional Transportation Planning Organization (RTPO), invites the public to comment on the draft 2018 Coordinated Public Transit – Human Services Transportation Plan (CPT-HSTP). The CPT-HSTP’s primary purpose is help identify public transportation needs and develop recommendations for improving transportation services for people with disabilities, seniors, young people, low-income individuals and others dependent on accessible transportation services to get them to where they need to go. The plan covers transportation services in Cowlitz, Grays Harbor, Lewis, Pacific, and Wahkiakum Counties. This plan was developed in cooperation with stakeholders, service providers, public transportation users, and others. The CPT-HSTP helps enhance transportation access, reduce duplication of services, and identifies priorities within the region. It identifies regional strategies and includes a prioritized list of projects that are eligible for funding under Washington State Department of Transportations Consolidated Grant Program that includes funding from state and federal sources.

The deadline for comments is November 26, 2018 at 5:00 pm.
