PENINSULA POOL LEAGUEDoc's Subs repeat as champion of Sunday Night Peninsula Poll League. The 2006 version of the Peninsula Pool League play-offs resembled the 2005 edition. The same three teams finished 1-2-3 with Dick Morgan's No. 11 seed LBT Slippery Sidekicks sliding into the fourth spot. Nick's Hitmen captained by Leo Scales pulled down the third spot. Last year, Leo's team was playing as the Eagle Eyes. Filling out the Hitmen roster were Craig Lilly, Steve Thoma, Woody Phillips and Deanna Wiltfong.

The finals were a repeat of a year ago as No. 1 seed Doc's Subs and No. 2 seed Nick's Murderer's Row squared off Sunday afternoon. With six of the top ten shooters in the league between these two teams it was the chalk that they would battle it out again. And like last year, after an upset loss, Nick's Murderer's Row had to battle through the losers bracket for a chance to set up the re-match.

The final was another nail biter as the Murderer's Row crew of Dwain Schultz, Kathy Price, Kelly Watson, Jon Hart and Glenn Trusty beat Don Sheldon's crew in the first match to set up another winner take all match. But Sheldon, Jim Mortensen, Derek Sparks, Eddie Lau and Fred Morris were up to the task as they took the title again.

The awards banquet will be held Saturday, March 18 at the American Legion in Ilwaco.
