SOUTH BEND - Annie Herrold, a junior on the Naselle Comets co-league champion volleyball team was named to the Pacific League's first team as well as to the academic all-league team.

Herrold joined two players from Willapa Valley and three from South Bend, the other two teams which were the league's three co-champions, on the 11-member first team.

Four other Comets - Kelly Revis, Toni Abbott, Marijane Mobley, and Amanda Badger - earned honorable mention status.

The league's team sportsmanship award went to Northwest Christian. The league's coach of the year was Anna Pope of Taholah.

PACIFIC LEAGUE VOLLEYBALL FIRST TEAM: Cassandra Brehmeyer (Mary M. Knight), Megan Morris (Willapa Valley), Ravenel Bisbee (South Bend), Annie Herrold (Naselle), Tori Lynn (South Bend), Jordan Coady (Wishkah), Whitney Marte (South Bend), Katherine Carlisle (Wishkah), Traci Goodin (Willapa Valley), and Kayla Barr (NW Christian).

The ACADEMIC ALL-LEAGUE team included: Naselle's Jenny Klinger, Jamie Bighill, Kelli Revis, Annie Herrold, and Katie Klinger.

The Pacific League requires that athletes have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.70 or higher to be eligible for the academic honor.
