Peninsula Youth Baseball 2004Registration and try-outs for 8- to 12-year-olds will take place Saturdays, Feb. 21 and Feb. 28 at Stanley Field - next to Long Beach Firehouse on Washington Street.

Registration starts at 10:00 a.m. for 8- to 10-year-old try-outs, 11:00 a.m. for 10- to 12-year-old try-outs.

Try-outs are required for all youth playing on a AAA or major team. Try-outs are not required for youth playing on a minor team. Players only need to attend one try-out, not both.

Registration forms were sent home with kids at local schools. T-ball players can mail their registration form in or sign up on the 21st. The registration fee is $30. If you have any used baseball equipment that is in good shape and you would like to donate it, please drop it off on the Feb. 21 and we will distribute it to players in need.

Babe Ruth 2004Registration and try-outs for 13- to 15-year-olds will take place Saturday, Feb. 21, at 1:00 p.m., at Rutherford Field/Culbertson Park Washington Street.

Try-outs are mandatory for all youth playing on a Babe Ruth Team.

A sign up sheet will be at the Ilwaco High School through the 20th. The registration fee is $40. Try-outs are required to play. Participation at try-outs does not guarantee a position on either team. If you have any questions, please contact Mick DeSimone 642-4584 coach of 15 year old and under team, or Kurt Kirby 642-2787 coach of 13- to 14-year-old team. In case of inclement weather, try-outs may be postponed to another day.
