NASELLE — Carson Bergeson, who anchored a Naselle offensive line that helped the Comets average 54.2 points per game last season, has been named to the Associated Press Class B All State first team offensive line.

Bergeson, the star of a three-man line in eight-man football, was one of five offensive linemen selected to the first team, which mixes 1B eight-man football players with eleven-man players from 2B schools.

Maguire Isaak, the Almira-Coulee-Hartline quarterback who helped knock the Comets out of the playoffs by averaging over 20 yards per play both on passes and runs, was named 1B player of the year. He led the Warriors to the 1B state title and finished with 43 touchdown passes, 21 touchdown runs, and one interception. Kalama quarterback and linebacker Alex Dyer was 2B player of the year.
