ILWACO - The annual Black Lake Trout Fishing Derby this Saturday coincides with the statewide opening of the freshwater trout season and offers the kids the first shot at bagging a few rainbows.
This year's derby will be held on Saturday, April 24, from 7 a.m. until 11 a.m. The lake will have been stocked with $2,000 worth of trout of various sizes for the occasion, purchased by the city of Ilwaco.
