LACEY - Naselle's good old-fashioned man-to-man defensive pressure held Northwest Christian to 13 points the middle two periods as the Comets soared to a 54-43 Pacific 2B League victory in Lacey Tuesday. The Navigators had been atop the league with a perfect 3-0 mark, while Naselle now improves to 2-1 in the Pacific.

Manny Lopez led the way with his ninth double-double in 11 contests as the burly post with the soft shooting touch knocked down 18 points and nabbed 13 rebounds. Austin Burkhalter was also a force inside and out as he matched Lopez with 18 points and managed eight caroms.

Naselle is now 8-3 for the year and Northwest Christian is 6-4.
