NASELLE - It took the two teams - the Naselle Comets and Wishkah Valley Loggers - over four and one-half hours, 15 innings, and a total of 24 runs to play a double-header in baseball. When it was over the Loggers had defeated the Comets twice in games decided by one run. The Comets lost 6-5 in the first seven-inning game and 7-6 in the eight-inning nightcap in Pacific League games played on the Naselle Lions Club Park Buck Holm Field Thursday, April 28.

The games concluded the Comets four-games-in-72-hours schedule as better weather finally allowed the playing of some of the weather postponed earlier games. Fortunately, for the Comets, all of this week's games were at home so they at least didn't have to fight traveling as well as the full schedule.
