WESTPORT, Wash. - Freshman Colette Beaulaurier began her Naselle Comets fast pitch softball career with a vengeance, as she blasted out 3 triples enroute to the Comets season opening 16-2 win over the class 1A Ocosta Wildcats Thursday, March 18, on the Cats home field.

Senior Marijane Mobley, pitching the first game in her Naselle softball career, controlled the Cats with 7 strikeouts while giving up few hits and allowing 2 runs. The rest of the Comets joined in the slugfest, as they banged out the hits and scored 16 runs in the six inning game.

Newly hired head coach Chris Clark said, "We had a good start with our win in Ocosta."
