NASELLE - Both the Comet girls and boys teams swept the Northwest Christian Navigators in impressive fashion Saturday. The victory for the boys earned them the 2008 Pacific 2B League crown and a bye in the first round of District IV playoffs. Their next game will be against the South Bend vs. Mossyrock winner Saturday, February 16 at 8 p.m. in Montesano.

The Comet girls ended in a tie for second place with Tacoma Baptist and North Beach and trailing league-leading Raymond. The three teams will flip coins and two teams will play a 10-minute mini-game Monday at 6 p.m. in Raymond with the loser of the first contest getting fourth place seeding to the district tournament. The winner of that mini-game and the winner of the coin toss will then play off for second and third place seeding to the district tourney that begins Wednesday.

The second place team will not play until Friday, February 15 in Montesano at 6:30 p.m. The third and fourth place Pacific teams will both host playoff games Wednesday at 7 p.m.
