MONTESANO - The Southwest Washington District Class B Volleyball Tournament will be held at Montesano High School on Nov. 6 and Nov. 9. The single elimination part of the tournament will be held on Wed, Nov. 8, with eight teams battling for the remaining four places on the district's final day Saturday, Nov. 9

Four teams, including the Pacific League's second place team, the Naselle Comettes are already seeded into Saturday's round. Naselle and, the Central League's first place team, Cathlamet, are in one half of the bracket. Valley, the Pacific League's first place team, and Morton, the Central League's second place team, are in the other half of the bracket. The remaining four teams, which qualified during the opening round, will fill in the remaining spots in the Saturday bracket.

It is likely that Naselle will play Pe Ell, the Central League's third place team in their opening match Saturday. The Comettes lost to the Trojans 3-0 earlier in the season and then beat them in a tournament single game format later in the season.

The two teams which win their first two matches on Saturday will qualify for the state tournament. The remaining six teams will battle it out for the one remaining spot in the state tournament.
