Activities Association has announced tee times for the boys’ state

1A golf tournament Tuesday, May 24 and Wednesday, May 25 at The

Home Course in Dupont. Ilwaco will begin defense of its state title

when Ross Kukula tees off at 7:48 a.m. May 24.

"font-size: 10pt;">Patrick Whealdon will begin play at 7:58 a.m.,

Ryan Kukula will tee off at 8 a.m., Clark Wilson will hit his first

shot at 8:15 a.m., Anthony Yoder will begin play at 8:24 a.m. and

Ryan Tapio will tee off at 9:18 a.m. Of the 80 golfers who begin

play Tuesday, half will make the cut for the second round of 18

holes of golf. Only golfers who qualify for the second day can

score team points.

"font-size: 10pt;">Last year Ross Kukula finished third at state

with rounds of 69 and 71 for a score of 140. Ryan Kukula (75-74)

and Whealdon (73-76) tied for tenth place with scores of 149.

Wilson and Yoder sealed the state title for the Fishermen by

finishing in a tie for fourteenth and a tie for twenty-second

respectively. Tapio was an alternate and did not

Whealdon, Freeman had 113, and King’s 93.5. Of the top 10

individuals only Ross and Ryan Kukula, Whealdon, and Reid

Fredrickson of Overlake return.
