TACOMA, Wash. - The 2007 season came to a crashing end for the Naselle football team Saturday night, as Life Christian blanked the Comets 22-0 in a Class 2B state quarterfinal football playoff at Mount Tahoma Stadium in Tacoma, Wash.

Naselle finishes 9-2, while Life Christian (11-2) will advance to play DeSales in the semifinals.

Life Christian had two field goals and led just 6-0 at halftime, then upped the lead to 12-0 in the third quarter.

The Comets drove to the Life Christian 2-yard line on the ensuing possession, but came up empty following two penalties and two incomplete passes.

The normally high-power Naselle offense was held to just 142 yards in total offense.
