ILWACO - Ilwaco High School varsity wrestlers, in conjunction with K&K Wrestling Camp coaches and Elliot Marcus are offering a free wrestling camp for youth from kindergarten through sixth grade Monday through Wednesday June 27, 28, and 29 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at Carl Aase Gymnasium.

The camp is open for both boys and girls and the goals are to have fun, introduce kids to the world's oldest and greatest sport, and to teach basic wrestling moves. Positive aspects of athletics such as sportsmanship, hard work, and leadership will be modeled by the IHS wrestling squad and their coaches.

T-shirts are available for $5 and checks can be made out to K&K Wrestling Camp for the shirts, but there is no cost for the camp itself. Required permission slips can be picked up at any of the school offices in Ocean Park, Long Beach, and Ilwaco. They can also be downloaded and returned at www.wrestlingcamp.org.

For more information call Elliot Marcus, senior project coordinator at 360-355-6116 or Coach Kevin McNulty at 253-439-9585. The camp is sponsored by a WellSpring mini-grant, Ilwaco Wrestling Federation, and K&K Wrestling Camp.
