CHENEY - Ilwaco's Jason Huntley qualified for the finals of the 300-meter hurdles at the state 1A track meet in Cheney Friday. Huntley's time was fifth-fastest in his heat, but his 42.11 was good enough to make the top eight places by .16 of a second. He will run for a medal in the 300 hurdles Saturday at 1:35 p.m. on the oval at Eastern Washington University.

Huntley missed qualifying in the 110-meter high hurdles as he finished fifteenth in 17.32. Tanner Weidner was one of two freshmen competing in the 1,600 meter finals and he finished eighteenth in 5:03.32. For the Lady Fishermen Cameo Ulbricht also missed qualifying in the 800 meter race as only the top eight finishers moved on.
