CASTLE ROCK - The Ilwaco football team began the 2002 season with ties against 1A powers, Toledo and Toutle Lake, at the Castle Rock Jamboree Friday. The Fishermen were scoreless against Toledo and quarterback, Ryan Cadwell, scrambled 40 yards on an attempted sprint out pass play for a touch down in the 7-7 tie against Toutle.

"We went there and did what we wanted to do," a pleased coach Dustin Lamb said of the jamboree. "No one was hurt, our linemen did a pretty good job, and a real bright spot was the super play of our junior varsity players."
