ILWACO - The last Trico League game was played Saturday evening, but the final standings of both the girls and boys divisions weren't decided until two coin flips occurred Sunday afternoon at a league meeting and both tosses involved Ilwaco teams.

Paul Jarrett, whose squad had to win their final two basketball games to finish tied with Kalama for second place on the boys side, won the toss and will play Rainier at Kelso Thursday at 8 p.m. Ned Bittner, whose girls team tied with Castle Rock for third, lost the toss and will begin District IV play at Centralia against Forks Wednesday at 8 p.m.

The boys will play the winner of the Winlock and Rochester game on Saturday in Chehalis and the girls will play either White Salmon or Toledo on Friday. The tournament continues through Feb. 22 for the girls and Feb. 23 for the boys and will qualify three teams in each division for the state tournament. State will be at the Sun Dome in Yakima from Feb. 27 through March 1.
