ILWACO – Erika Glenn scored 22 of her 26 points in the first half, helping Ilwaco to a 48-10 halftime advantage in a 76-15 victory over Pe Ell Thursday, Dec. 13.
Glenn got five steals in the game and did a good portion of her damage on the break. She also buried three first-half three-pointers. Ebby McMullen fed Glenn coming open under the basket for another easy two points.
After her 22-point first half, Glenn added another pair of fast-break buckets in the first minute of the second half for a 54-12 lead. By this time, the running clock was on, and bench lineups soon took the floor.
Complementing Glenn’s brilliance from the perimeter, Ilwaco’s posts had a big edge inside, contributing offensive rebounds and low-post scoring. Sunny Kemmer scored 10 points, Kylie Gray had eight, and Estella Sheldon chipped in four offensive rebounds and eight points.
Ilwaco’s bench extended the lead with some crisp passing. Olivia Long scored five straight points late in the game, including a three-point play off her own steal.
