CENTRALIA - The Lady Bulldogs bit Ilwaco 17-0 in five innings.

Kate Denton and Ashley Tapio singled, but were stranded in the first frame. Kelsey Madsen's single in the second and Aimee Banuet's base hit in the third were the only batters to reach first safely the remainder of the contest and neither of them advanced past the initial sack.

Ilwaco's record dropped to 10-10 and they were dumped into the loser's bracket of the District IV softball tournament, where they faced Kalama, who had lost to Forks 7-1 in their opening round contest. Montesano later defeated Forks 9-0 to qualify for the state tournament and the right to face Onalaska, who had whipped LaCenter and upset Castle Rock, in the championship game.

Castle Rock will play Kalama and Forks will take on Toledo in winner-to-state games on Saturday at Fort Borst Park in Centralia prior to the title tilt.
