LACEY - "We were hoping to knock off Mossyrock and be competitive against Northwest Christian, but we just didn't come together as a team like I thought we could," a frustrated Coach Kim Eaton said after the Comets were eliminated from District IV play by Mossyrock 3-0 in Lacey Nov. 1. The Lady Vikings won 25-17, 25-23, and 25-20.

"We were ahead in the first game 13-11 and let it go and we were up 23-16 in the second game and they scored nine straight points for the win. In the third game we fell behind 10-2, but Haleigh See was absolutely impressive as she served 10 straight points to give us a 12-10 lead, but then we once again didn't pull it together for the win," Eaton said.

Taylor Wasmundt led Naselle with seven kills and Nicole Tarabochia added six. See had 20 assists and two kills and Coach Eaton praised Rochelle Mahlum for her defensive contributions as libero. The Comets finish the season with a 7-8 mark and were fifth in the Pacific 2B League with a 5-7 record.
