NASELLE – The Comets beat Taholah 25-22, 25-12, 25-15 in District quarterfinals Tuesday, Oct. 30.

Taylor Gudmundsen helped the Comets get through their early struggles by serving seven aces in a span of eight points, turning a 6-2 deficit into a 10-6 lead. Taholah tied it at 19, but Holly Disch’s two late slams from the right pole helped the Comets eek out the first-set win.

Taholah led 5-4 in the second set before the Comets took control. Disch led in kills with 13, Sophie Scrabeck led in digs with 13, and Kenzie Glenn had a team-high .500 hitting percentage on nine-kills. Gudmundsen had ten ace serves and 32 assists.
