LACEY - The Naselle Comets girls fastpitch team took only three innings to beat the Northwest Christian Navigators in the Navigators inaugural season in the fastpitch league. The game played Monday, March 27, saw the Comets earn an 18-1 win.

Coach Chris Clark said, "We scored 18 times in three innings on 16 walks and five hits. We left seven players on base. They batted 11 batters and scored once in the third on a fielder's choice as we decided to turn a double play. Colette Beaulaurier struck out the last batter as Brittanie Vaughn received the win as she pitched to six batters in the first two innings."
