MENLO — Payton Aselton scored 20 points in Adna’s 59-33 victory over Naselle Thursday, Dec. 27, day one of the Jack Q. Wilson Holiday Classic in Menlo.

Adna, out of the 2B Central League, was 6-3 at week’s end, with a quality win over Toledo and losses to Willapa Valley, Wahkiakum and Montesano. Naselle kept it competitive in the first half, trailing 32-20, but the Pirates pulled away in the second. Taylor Gudmundsen (16 points) and Kenzie Glenn (14 points) did most of the scoring for the Comets. Glenn hit three first-half three-pointers.
