WINLOCK — Trailing 3-0, the Winlock Cardinals scored seven runs in the fourth inning on their way to an 11-3 victory over Naselle Thursday, May 7.

Lily Harman had two of Naselle’s four hits, going 2 for 3 with a triple. The Cardinals tied for fourth in the 2B Central League this year, finishing the year 14-5 over all and 9-5 in league play.

The Comets scored their three runs in the fourth inning. Brynn Tarabochia led off with a double, Kylee Tarabochia walked, and Harman followed with a two-run triple to right field, later coming around to score on an error.

Winlock did not have a hit off Brynn Tarabochia before Makayla Allbritton’s double leading off the fourth. The Cardinals broke through for seven runs on five hits in the inning, then added four more runs in the fifth.
