NASELLE - The head football coach of the Naselle Comets, Robin Andrea, reminded the prospective 2006 Comets and their parents that it is soon going to be time to put on the pads for the 2006 season.

Andrea said, "As summer activities continue and the fall approaches, Friday night under the lights and football is just around the corner! We had fun during spring football and got to learn and progress at the University of Washington passing tournament. Now we get to build on that learning and prepare for our 2006 season.

"There will be an important parent meeting at 6:30 p.m. on Aug. 10 in the middle school commons.

"Football practices begin on Aug. 16 and we will need, as always, 12 practices before our first game on Sept. 1 at Vancouver Christian."
